About Spyridon Oikonomidis

Spyridon Oikonomidis is a Research Assistant in the Section of Botany, Department of Biology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is member of the lab team of Professor Emeritus Costas A. Thanos.

Currently his research focus is on:

  • Terrestrial orchid seed germination.

  • Orchid seed storage behaviour.

  • Orchid pollination biology.

  • Orchid ex situ conservation.

  • Orchid seed morphology.
